India – a story
My eyes ran through the map
Discovering and gazing the bountiful world.
Names of bays, oceans, countries aplenty
The eyes, they fix in a pleasant doze
At a place longed for, a place I call my home, my motherland.
A sense of nostalgia overcame my heart,
It remembered the childhood days spent in the dunes of Rajasthan,
The time we played and laughed and cried tear of joy
The memories which will make my eyes moist.
Bharat, as its called remains a land of my story,
Magnificence and grace
From the extravagant landscapes to the delicious lip smacking food,
Its nurtures us all in its warm embrace.
Unity, integrity and eloquence intact ;
Its children make the country stand high and mighty
With marvelous inventions, solutions and discoveries.
A feeling of reverence and a surge of pride,
is what we know, when we think of the
INDIA of our dreams.
